John Hansen (Ph.D-EE & MSEE, Georgia Institute of Technology: BSEE, Rutgers University). Currently he serves as Assoc. Dean for Research at University of Texas at Dallas (UTDallas), after previously serving as Dept. Head of Electrical Engineering. He oversees the Center for Robust Speech Systems and is a leading researcher in speech and language processing, machine learning for robust speech systems, and human-computer interaction. He has published 675 Journal/Conference papers in the field and supervised 85 PhD/MS thesis candidates; is an IEEE Fellow, ISCA Fellow, and currently serves as ISCA President. He has served as IEEE SPS & ISCA Distinguished Lecturer, as well as the Technical Advisor U.S. Delegate for NATO. He served as TC-Chair IEEE SPS Speech-Language-Processing Technical Committee (2005-08;2010-13), Educational Technical Committee (2005-08;2008-10), Associate Editor (IEEE-Speech-and-Audio-Processing, IEEE-Signal-Proc-Letters, IEEE-Signal-Processing-Magazine). He Co-Organized and was Technical Program Chair for IEEE ICASSP-2010, and Co-Chair IEEE SLT-2014.
